Dear Packages From Home and Ms. Kathleen Lewis,

Hafa Adai (our native way in saying "Hello" or "Welcome") from our warm and beautiful island of Saipan! I write to you on behalf of my daughter. But, before I go any further, kindly allow ...me to briefly introduce myself first and share a little information about my family. My name is Marie, a proud mother to 5 beautiful children (23, 20, 16, 13 & 11) and one adorable 10 mo. old grand baby girl. I am married to an awesome partner and a great daddy, for over 18 years now; 27 yrs. all together. He was a prior service member with the U.S. Army in 1982. Both my husband and daughter (father-daughter team) are now service members with the Guam Army National Guard, and are currently deployed in Afghanistan. Although they are very far apart from each other, they are very close at heart.

Just now, I received a heartwarming message from my daughter that she had received two care packages filled with goodies and personal hygienes from your organization. She was very much surprised and very happy; touched and overwhelmed I must say. As her mother, I wish to personally thank you from the bottom of my heart for your act of kindness. With many of our deployed soldiers having to spend months away from families and friends, not to mention the upcoming holidays, can really take a toll on their morale. I know that opening those unexpected care packages is heartwarming - it is like opening a present. Thank you again for all that you do to provide needs to every single soldier and for simply making a soldier's day a little extra brighter. It is a great reminder that America is great and stand proud to support them all the way! This is the beautify of America that continue to prove that all our soldiers are not forgotten.

Thank you once again for the surprise care packages you sent to our daughter. We are forever grateful for your continued love and support for all soldiers! Attached, are pictures I would like to share with you.

Sincerely & Respectfully,

Marie
