Many of your care packages have reached us here in Afghanistan and we are extremely grateful for your generosity.
Morale of our soldiers has greatly improved as a result of your packages
and letters. We collectively cannot thank you all enough for your
continued support of our troops in combat. It is indeed a privilege to
be able to defend those that comprise "PACKAGES FROM HOME" and makes
every personal sacrifice we make well worth it in our eyes. Thank you
again and God Bless.
p.s. If you have any way of contacting Gage M., the young man that
wrote me a brilliant note, please personally thank him for me and share
my email if he has any more questions.

This year has been especially challenging since we depend so heavily on financial donations and in these tough economic times it is important to remember who we are doing this for. We're not doing this for us to "feel" good, nor are we doing this to make you "feel" good, we ARE however doing this to help our brave men and women overseas in harms way to feel cared for.
I was a United States Marine for nine years and was sent overseas many times and even spent some time in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Shield. I can remember how it felt to get a package from home, to get some things that I couldn't get while deployed and to just know somebody was thinking about me.
I can also remember days, just sitting there feeling lonely hoping to hear from home or get a package and then "mail call" would come. "Mail call" came every day, and most days most guys wouldn't get anything, myself included and you could see the disappointment in our eyes when our names weren't called by the platoon Sergeant. And, you could see the joy in the eyes of those who did get something in "mail call".
Now over 17 years later I'm fortunate enough to be in a position that allows me the opportunity to change those feeling for the guys and gals who have so honorably answered the call to duty.
We here at Packages From Home are asking you to remember who we're doing this for and know that we really are making a difference in the lives of so many. Thank you.
Thanks for the packages. The soldiers of my section really love the
goodies in the packages. Kindly express our heartfelt thanks and
gratitude to the members of Greater Perry Community Christian who
thought so kindly of us to send us the package. Thanks for your prayers

love getting gifts and you do send good ones. I hope I make my weight
in May. Just kidding, I will. I am going to get up and go work out in
the morning after your wonderful treats. Thank you!
Thank you for everything.

IBM Phoenix and Packages from Home, thank you so much for the care
package that arrived this week.
Your collective gifts filled with peanut butter and jelly, Girl Scout
Cookies, M&Ms coffee, candies and other treats made my day. We work long
hours and I was just about burnt out until I received your package.
I shared the treats with the Soldiers, Dept of Army Civilians and
Contractors in our office. We are a mixture of support staff who
support the war through logistics.
Attached are pictures of local trucks called, jingle trucks because of
the jingling sound they make when travelling on the road. As you can see
the trucks are brightly colored and decorated.
Again, thank you so much for thinking of us.
