Happy Spring

Packages From Home Newsletter – March 9, 2016

Gorgeous weather, spring break and spring training games give us a great excuse to celebrate the season. But these aren’t the only reasons we should be thankful this time of year. Even though we can’t necessarily see their hard work with our own eyes, more than 150,000 troops are overseas in 150+ countries doing everything they can to keep us safe so we can enjoy spring and every other season.

Supporting our heroes is easier than you might think. If you plan on doing a little spring cleaning, consider donating your gently-used and unwanted household items to Packages From Home, such as sporting equipment, board games, magazines, books, DVDs and electronics. We send these items to Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) centers overseas so our troops can have a taste of home, even when they’re thousands of miles away. For a complete list of the items most frequently requested by our troops, check out our Wish List or send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. Thank You, Woman’s World Magazine

Womans World Article JPEG

Special thanks to the incredible people at Woman’s World Magazine for encouraging readers to support our troops. The 2/1/16 issue of Woman’s World features a heartwarming article about a thoughtful woman named Linda Spurlin-Dominik, who volunteered to foster a soldier’s dog during his deployment. The article also includes a section about sending treats to deployed military working dogs through our Bones From Home program. We are so grateful to organizations like Woman’s World who help spread the word about Packages From Home and our programs that support deployed military service people, veterans and military working dogs. PFH is On the Move

Military Family Moving ImagePackages From Home is looking for a new home. After 10 years, we've outgrown our current facilities and need more space.

Here's what we hope to find:
An air conditioned facility containing about 5,000 square feet of space along the I-17 corridor to house both our packing center and administrative office. If you have or know of an available space that meets this criteria, we'd love to hear from you (602-253-0284).
